The Success Series

Courses in the KDC's "Success Series" are grouped into four categories:

• Working at Assurant

  These courses help associates understand their role and contribution to the company. All associates go through a new associate orientation program during their first week on the job. In addition, our All About Assurant Specialty Property course provides associates with a high level overview of the business process and key areas of the company.

• Building Relationships

  These courses help associates establish rapport, build trust and interact successfully with their clients, fellow associates and management. Some of the topics included in this category focus on communication, conflict management and customer service skills.

• Increasing Effectiveness

  This category allows associates to be proactive about their own career development. In addition to elective courses provided through the KDC, associates are encouraged to take advantage of outside resources to improve their personal and professional effectiveness. Topics include grammar and business writing, time management, project management and personal wellness.

• Creating High Performance

  This category consists of a variety of courses from collaboration to leadership development to effective supervision. Topics include delegating, coaching, and selection and interviewing.

Courses include instructor-led as well as self-study programs available via CD-ROM. Employees receive certificates and awards for successfully completing each level.
