American Reliable Insurance Company and American Bankers Insurance Company of Florida combined business operations, underwriting and claims in 2001. In doing so the companies have been able to effectively support an agency force covering 48 states. The diversity of agriculture can be seen in the agriculture risks we underwrite and the size of our operations. Risks include crop, dairy, equine, feed lots, fruit, livestock, vegetable, elk, fish and others. Operations can range from a hobby farm with a few animals and some field crops to multiple location multimillion-dollar enterprise. We have the coverage and capacity to meet the needs of our customers. Our strong commitment to the agents and insureds continues to be the driving force of our growth.

American Reliable Insurance Company (ARIC) and American Bankers Insurance Company of Florida (ABIC), are Assurant Specialty Property companies, offering general agriculture and equine farmowners' coverage through general agents and independent agents throughout the United States. Established in 1952, American Reliable has an A.M.Best's Rating of "A-"(Excellent), the fourth highest out of 16 catagories. Established in 1947, American Bankers of Florida has a Best's Rating of "A" (Excellent), the third highest out of 16 catagories. A.M. Best is an independent organization that rates insurance companies based on financial strength and operating performance. Best ratings range from A++ to F. A.M. Best neither endorses nor is affiliated with the underwriters. American Reliable is domiciled in Arizona, and American Bankers Insurance Company is domiciled in Florida.
